We’ve all spoken a bit about having a stall at the Glebe Street Fair, growing and selling seedlings, plants and otherwise having a community presence. But we need something more concrete than just the intention of being there. Since getting a space costs about $400, then a stall costs another $150, it’s worth being creative. Lilly is checking to see whether non-profit or community groups like ours get a discount.

What are some of your ideas? Use the comments below and post them so we can all discuss.

Sorry all for the late notice – here are the agenda items for tomorrow’s meeting and working bee at the garden. We’ve not got a great deal to discuss so this meeting should be short.

- Irrigation. Update on how we’ve progressed with the electrician and inspect pipes ahead of turning the system on later this month.

- Communal plots. The new bed facing St John’s Road (where the lillipillis were) has had a month to settle and it’s a great space. Will it be better as a communal area, or as plots?

- Inventory. The shed is hard to get around and pretty full. Is it arranged as well as we’d like? What tools are missing and do we need to make any urgent purchases? Can a member champion our inventory as a new management committee member?

We’ll also wrap up all outstanding 2009 annual fees and there is one new plot available to allocate, so if you’re a new member and on the waiting list, this is a great time to come down.

Since I’ve been so tardy with this notice, please feel free to reply to all with new agenda items or, if you prefer, let me know before the meeting so I can add them to our list. I’ll try to get this notice to you a week earlier in future, I promise!

See you tomorrow at 11am in the garden.
